Hey all. Today I noticed when feeding my oscar pellets I could hear them crunching as he moved his mouth around... I know he doesn't have teeth as such, but what's going on here? Do they have grinding teeth in their throat or something?

Cheers
Phil

That makes sense, I must be hearing the pharyngeal teeth crunching up the pellet.

Cheers

not only that... when munching the foods, you could
also hear the gashing sound of water in their mouth
especially when they are in the surface
