300 litres 4 foot

I don't think I would. JD's get pretty big and you will run into Over stocking... I would just do one. That 300 liters works out to about 80 US gallons. So I would go one O, and one JD..Just my opinion...

ill do that thanks for your help so is it best just to stick to one o and one jd and nothing else then sorry to be a pain ,its awful to be a beginner

In that size tank I would get too much or you will be doing water changes constantly... You could go 1 Oscar, 1 JD, and maybe 2 pictus catfish.. Or two small tank mates... And bottom feeders are always good...

And please don't worry, we were all new once. LOL.. Ask all the questions you like. We like to answer them!

for 80 gallons i dont know if i would go with a oscar and a jd probably one or the other with a few smaller tank mates as 75 is recomended for one oscar

Yeah with oscars it's always good to keep bottom feeders because Os spill food from their mouths when they eat. So it would be easy for you to have a fish that does the cleaning for you (Plus pictus is a cute fish to have in a tank).
So as nickie told you 1 O, 1 JD, 2 Pictus would be great.

hi i took your advice and got rid of one oscar so i am waiting to have my jack dempsey as we planned but i also got my two pictus catfish today but how long they will last as my oscar is going mad trying to catch them will they be ok will the oscar give up in the end

Most likely your oscar will give up! The Pictus are a LOT faster than your O... But it would also be a good idea to give your cats a place to hide.
