Well now that my tank is empty I went and bought a new Red Tiger Oscar (the one before was just a Tiger Oscar)..(I think there is a difference but im not sure..let me know).

its been 18 hours since This new Oscar has entered the tank.. and what a difference there is.. he has already ate 3 times the amount my other oscar ate.. so I have a VERY great feeling this one is going to last..

I will try and get pictures of my new little fish and I would like to see if we could come up with any names for him/her..

Right now it is anout 1.5 inches... black base witha gray head.. and the red squiggly lines on him are VERY vibarant.. almost reflective like..

He also comes up to the top of the tank when im ready to feed him.. so thats a great plus.. hopfully everything goes well with this little bugger.

Great to hear that you got your new fish and he seems okay. For the next few weeks, keep a check on those water conditions, ammonia, nitrite nitrate and pH. The ammonia and nitrite are the ones you want to be watching very closely for a while.. Please also tell us what your pH is.

Lucky with the Tap water in my house everything its perfect other than not knowing what type of metels are coming from the water

my Tap reads as so;

pH 7.1

Nitrate 15

Nitrite 0

Ammonia 0

I always put fish tank additive called Aqua Safe (US Brand) to make sure the water is safe from chlorine chloramines and heavy metels

Once adding This everything is the same except the Nitrate which lowers to 10 which is awesome

By the way.. My oscar greats me all the time when i open the lid of the tank.. its my little River Dog
