My oscar is extremely lazy he just stays in a little corner( his little corner. guards it like a dog. Its the only time he's not lazy) i stick a nice big grasshopper in he doesn't even look at it. The only ting he will eat for me are the shrimp pellets i give him and even then it has to be right to him do you know any tricks to spark his appetite anyone

Maggots and worms. Oscars love them especially worms

Can you test your water for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates just to make sure the cause isnt bad water

Its best to keep you oscars on a varied diet, so dont feed him for a couple of days and then feed the cricket or cichlid pellets. If he dont eat them, then take them out and try again the next day. If he hasnt eaten after a week feed him the food he likes, then repeat the above again. He will soon start eating normally

yeh defiantly check the parameters,, cause mine was doing the same thing.. and my ammonia had spiked,, now i did a water change and he swims again
