They are indeed very messy like other oscars but for some reason when i feed them at one end of the tank (where the filter outlet is) they then swim over to the intake of the filter and all hang around it whilst eating and letting the food debre fall out and into the intake lol.

They do it all the time. Helps me with the cleaning haha.. Bonus!

mine do the same thing!!! i have to check my filter everyother day to make sure there not clogged but it does help with tank cleaning

cool wish mine did that lol i have a 6" oscar i was hand feeding him while he was small now hes s bigger he trys te eat my fingers as well so whilst im cleaning the gravel or the algae i usually get bit lol

I wish I could feed my Oscar by hand she jus hates me ...always hiding from me as soon as I go near the tank

in about a month she will be your best friend !!!!!!! and come to the glass shaking and wiggling every time you pass the tank ....i guarantee it ..its just their nature
