so i was just looking thru some fishing records, and i saw something i couldnt believe... somebody caught a 3 pound 8 ounce Oscar in Florida, USA. how "Big" is that really? i mean how long would that equate to? have larger fish been recorded elsewhere? just curious as to how big they can really get, not what they average out to.

I read an article in a dutch ciclid mag and it stated that the biggest O on record was 47,5 cm and over 1500 grams, but I couldn't verify.
