Hi guys,
I was watching Dexter and noticed he was shovelling great gobfulls of gravel in his mouth and moving it to other places, where he spits it out.
Is this strange, or is he just 're-building'?
I managed to take a pic of him shovelling. He also puffs up like a lion and has a go at you through the glass, with his mouth so wide open you can see right down his throught and check-out his guts, it's so funny I'll try to get a pic and post it

Thats perfectly normal for an oscar, in fact i would say its abnormal if your oscar didnt do it. Forget about arranging the tank how you want it, you will be wasting your time. Leave it how your oscar wants it

Yep,
its been mentioned, and I had seen it before the boss brought it up, i'm hoping its not HITH.
I didn't see it at the LFS, and he struggled pretty hard when they caught him [in a pretty course net], up close it doesn't look like a hole, more like a bit of skin was scraped off during capture, at least thats what i'm hoping for, and if it is HITH, hopefully it should heal up soon, my perameters ar all perfect.
If it is HITH, what sort of time does it take for a small spot like that to heal, if the water is perfect?

hith can take a long time to fully cure depending on the severity. just keep your nitrate below 20 and be patient and it will clear eventually.

Not having dealt with this problem before, I have no idea what to expect and its been worrying me a bit, so any advice is really appreciatted.
