My thoughts exactly. They seem too slimy to me. However oscars can and do eat snails, and slugs are just snails without the shell. So I suppose its ok to feed slugs to oscars. Hopefully someone who knows or feeds slugs to oscars will have their say.
I can't get no sleep

i gave one to my Oscar he ate it and was fine after it but it gets the slime on your plants for a little while so its pretty messy.

One other thing is that garden snails and slugs absorb any pesticides very easily.
My O eats them, but I quit giving them after I read an article about snails and slugs.
I wanted to feed garden snails to my Puffer fish, but I only feed him the ones I bred myself now.
Huge bugs are still a favorite for my O, like maybugs.

I'm only breeding small snails, my Puffer is kinda dwarfy!
All i know is to put in some plants and feed them some custom fishfood flakes.
And do some WC.
Add some cucumber or zuchinni slices and things should work.

Don't know if it's the same with big snails.
And my Puffer still eats the snails quicker then I can breed them.

I've never fed slugs to an Oscar but they make fantastic chub bait
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss

i believe it is not chub bait but club bait
if you happen to have a golden snail, you will find it hard to
control their propagation..... it is now a menace to some degree
in our farmland in the area.
