I have reserved an adult oscar at the local fishstore, and althout it is lived it's life in pretty bad conditions it has grown to a good size (about 11-12 inch). But it has a pimple. On its Jaw. Well atleast that what it looks like.. The store owner has tried different medications for it, but the pimple is still there. It doesn't seem to bother the fish in any way, it eats well and is alert. There are no other signs of any kind of sickness.

It that normal? Can it be somesort of parasite?

If you look at the large picture on the top of this page, is it something like that?

Uhh yeah actually, it looks kinda the same.

If it is near enough the same as the picture at the top, then I really don't think you got anything to worry about as lots of Oscars develop these strange pimples

150% normal ....if its on the lower jaw ........

For some reason, many oscars get this. I'm not sure why, or what it's cause by but i don't think it's anything to worry about.
