I keep giant african land snails which my skink eats, did I read somewhere thet Oscars will also eat snails? If so do I need to de-shell them or can they be fed whole and how often are they ok to be offered?

some people start with the snail as oscar tank mates. but once oscar
started to nipped the snail and broke the shell... goodbye snails..
very expensive snack
