Hey there guys..
I have been in the hobby for a long time and right now have two oscars. A red tiger and albino tiger. They do not get along so i moved the albino to my 70 gal tank the other is in my 300 gal. I have only been keeping oscars since i got these two about a year ago when they were small. They never got along and the fights were not severe until they reached 7-8 inches. Ive been keeping freshwater stingrays for years but all of a sudden these oscars were fighting too the death so i had to clear out my 70 gal and put the albino in there. Now by itself its clearing the gravel at the bottom and staying down there until i feed it. Is this a female and is it laying eggs or is it sick? Or is it a male waiting for a female? My water parimeters are normal so i am curious if this oscar is ready too breed and my other oscar was the same sex any advice would help. No eggs have been seen and this has been going on for a while and the oscar is about a foot long.

This is normal behavior for an O. Male or female alone or with a friend they all enjoy gravel excavation. They also like to move rocks, plants, and anything else that's in the tank.

Yes. This is normal nehaviour for Oscars my Osacr also dug a hole in the gravel it is normal. The hole has been there for a week now and my Oscar simply enjoys staying there. ( It uses it as its base. Whenever i put prawns in it will wait for a prawn to come by and then SNAP the prawn vanishes ) Don't worry nth is wrong with your oscars
