I know there is no such thing as a dwarf oscar, but I bought mine about 3 weeks ago and he hasnt grown. He was 2.5 inches when i got him and he is still 2.5 inches? Does anybody know of this ever happening?

What are you feeding and how much are you feeding and how many times a day. I don't think they would be a huge growth spurt in three weeks but there should be some noticeable growth. The best thing to do is take photos every month and compare them, sometimes it's difficult to know whether they have grown if you have got any photos to compare.

I've been feeding him Hikari Cichlid Gold pellets every day around 3pm. It takes about 10 and then he looks fat and full. And on Saturdays I feed him half a block of bloodworm. I have a photo of him when I first got him and he is the same size. Its kinda creepy.

Hikari gold is a great choice of food but you should be feeding a "baby" oscar 2-3 times daily until it is full not just once a day. Technically that is all you need but they grow fastest at that stage so they need the most food, kind of like puberty a 13 year old boy can eat tons more foon then a 40 year old. Try feeding it more often and see if he grow if not you may need to check tank size, how big is your aquarium?

I might try that. At the moment he is just in a 2x1x1 foot tank, but I am gonna get him a 4 x 2 x 1.8 tank with a catfish or frontosa (maybe, I'll have to find out if they are compatible) in a few months.

Maybe he has grown and you havent noticed cause you see it everyday. Many a time i have thought my fish hasnt grown much and then a friend will come round and he will say how much bigger it is
