I finished cleaning out my tank today and was checking to make sure the filter was working well and I noticed tiny little wormy things floating around...so tiny if you didn't look hard you'd miss 'em...she is acting fine and healthy and this is the first time i've ever noticed them and I've had her for years. What is it? Why do i have 'em? and How do I get rid of them?? (She does not currently have a heater the water has been in the 75 to 80 range...Not sure if it has to go with temp)Any help would be greatly appreciated!

small worms, either red or white, are normal in aquarium tank.
you can even see them in the filtering media . spill over foods
and less vacuuming of substrate promote their presence but they
are harmless to the fishes. in fact, oscar love to scoop them
when swimming around.

i found when i had problem with them, i put in 50 ghost shrimp into my tank lol... they were gone within 2 weeks. (they were in a tank with only a snail and a dragonfish, nothing that would eat the shrimp)

because ghost shrimp or any other kind of shrimp is good in burying
themselves under the substrate. and they could pick up anything that
moves under or near their small clawed feet.

in my case, i feed all my fishes before releasing a lot of live
fresh water shrimp. the oscar didn't mind them for a while....but
the black pangasius works like a vacuum..... it scooped with the
pebbles and in a few seconds, all shrimp were gone.

you know what i did, i removed all substrate and let it dries for
a while... if you will notice, i don't have substrate now

i didn't realize that...
nah, i am on another experiment. i will try to figure out if i keep
on cleaning the filter media every other day... what would be the effect
on ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.....as you can see, i have an easy access
with all the filters...

Love the dark ends on the fins of your Lutino!
Never seen that before.
And again I'm impressed!
My wife and I were just talking about pangasius during diner!
Are they full-grown yet ordo you think they'll grow some more?
I see what your hungry familymembers want, that's a feast-meal!lol
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!
