My Oscar sometimes swims around the tank madly and bangs itself against the sides. Why is it doing this? Is it stressed? If so what should i do? Thanks

I would like to see a video of this possible. Oscars often do have mad moments. I think it's virtually impossible to say why your fish is doing this. Do any of the other fish react funny when your Oscar is doing this?. The reason I say this is because it has been known for faulty heaters to introduce small currents into the water which can electrocute the fish slightly making them jump all over the place. I've only read about this, never actually seen it myself so I think it's probably very slim that it is happening to you.

Just check your water and make sure that's all in order, fish could possibly act strange if the water is in poor condition. I have seen my Oscars chase after flies that they can see outside of the tank, they often jump and bang themselves when doing this. r thing seems in order and you can't find anything wrong, I don't think there's much you can do really. Maybe someone else will have an answer for you because I really don't

Mine used to do this when they were smaller. They just seem to have the odd mad moment. I think its like a cat can have a mad few mins. I would not worry about it unless the oscar is doing serious injury to itself

If you want to test to see if you have an electrical current from your heaters then get a multi tester. Put it on DC, earth one wire and put the other in the tank. If the display is zero then you have no current
I can't get no sleep
