Hy guys,
About 10 days ago, I posted a few pic's of my latest O' Dexter, and a few of you pointed out a spot on the side of his head, and said to keep an eye on it just incase it was HITH, thanks for the concern, admittedly I was a bit worried myself.
I just wanted to say he's looking [almost] completely healed, and just needs the skin to reach the perfect shade.
Thanks to you people that showed concern [it helped alot],
Hopefully, the speed of recovery means it was a scrape and not HITH, but even if it was, it atleast looks healed now.
I attached some before and afters.
the pic of the whole fish, and the headshot with the ring around the damage, are the before shots, and the other headshot shows him healed.
Thanks again.

congratulations! your o looks gorgeous.
actually, the spotted pictures shows early stage of HITH
or fungal infection....
oscar could not have injured pointed and in small circle.
nevertheless, the vibrant color of your o means he/she is
very healthy.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the reply, if it was/is HITH or fungus, would you say that it has healed from the look of the clear pic?, and if not healed completely, would you say close to healed?
thanks.

the recent picture show no mark at all. since it is early stage,
and no crater yet, it is totally healed now. if you will look
closely, the color shade of greenish, black, and the red markings
are bright..... only means very healthy. keep it that way and
he/she will be huge in no time.

Hi Paul,
he/she is already nearly 12" and quite thick, so while i'd like more growth, I doubt it'll grow to much.
Thanks for saying its looking good though, after the HITH scare, comments like that help a lot.

yeah i agree, after the 12 inches mark, oscar stop growing longer,
but they grow thicker instead..... granting you keep the water in
perfect condition and varied foods, it will grow at least 1 inch for
every three months especially if it started spawning....

my lfs has 3huge adults and about 3 or 4 small 1 or2" target fish, in a tank of about 260ltrs its well filtered and cleaned and the fish are healthy, but is quite sad to see really!
