Hi im Lewis new to the site.
Iv had my Oscars for about 2 months now i have 2 black tiger Oscars and 2 albino Oscars in a 350 ltr tank.
All the fish are feeding fine all with prominent fins but one of my albinos fins are turning black and its getting a kind of dirty look about it all over, yet all the other fish are fine is this a normal thing, mood or something please let me no as im worried about him. Cheers
Lewis

If possible, get a photograph, difficult to say without actually seeing what you're talking about

Sorry, the picture is too small, I can't really make anything out.
What are your water parameters, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH? If you can give us the exact readings, at least we could rule out or the conditions. However, fish sometimes do change color and there isn't anything to worry about. If there was a problem, I think it would look unnatural and sort of obvious there was a problem

Hi,
My LFS had a pair of large lutino's, one was clean, the other had these weird sorta pepper shaker marks on top of its head, kind of small black smudges, looked ugly but in this case it didnt bug the fish, a week after the pair sold, they laid eggs!

as stated, we need water parameters first of all.
and a 350L tank is too small for 4 oscars (full grown O's). a tank that size could house one full grown O and a smaller tank mate or two
|
Please, for my sake, change your oil!

welcome aboard.
350 liters is approximately 90 US gal size, way too small for 4 oscar.
most oscar do change their color as they grow...much more on lutino
type. take a look on this:
first picture april 05, 2009
june 26, 2009
July 26, 2009
and latest picture
