Hi
i have 2 5 inch albino oscar and for the last 2 or 3 weeks iv noticed one of them has been going black on the fins.
The 2 oscars have always been close always swimming together etc, but the oscar with black on it has started going in the same bottom corner of the tank and staying their sometimes laying on its side.
the other albino which has not gone black on its fins still always stays with it.
they are still feeding but iv just noticed this odd behavior, also the oscar going black vibrates its tail fin every now and then.
Can anyone tell me whats going on?
thanks
lewis

juvenile oscars eat like a pig and grows fast. but once the full
grown length is attained, they stopped growing lengthwise, they
start to expand sideways.... thickness and wide bodies. the black
on their fins is normal, no need to worry. a vibrant color, whatever
color it is is always an indicator of healthy fishes.

I mentioned the same black on their fins in Paul's fish.
I like that, I never seen that over here!

This is a common problem. someone goes to the shop and buys a small lovely looking albino oscar and then it grows a bit and developed black on the edge of the fins. Sometimes they get a body that looks dirty. This black colouring is normal but annoying when you think you have an albino oscar
