I just got a baby o today and he's not acting right. I dont know if its just b/c he is in new enviroment or what. All water parameters are good, he is by himself in 55g. Has beeb staying basically in corner until I turned the light off then he moved awayt for awhile. But then back to corner and kinda laying on his side. Is he sleeping ?? There are no physical signs of illness, color is good, breathing is fine. The only thing I have noticed is every few minutes his anal fin will flutter for a second or 2. Wut do you all think ??

i think he is pouting because he is in a new home, a new fish tank, and by himself. im sure you would do the same thing if some bad man came and scooped you up in a net, threw you in a bag, and dumped you in a big box by yourself with no explanation why.

give him a few days. if you water is right, he should be just fine in a day or two. he just needs to get used to his new surroundings.

nothing to worry. that is normal to any new fish.
give him time and it will come out naturally.

I agree with everyone else, he's just pouting, it won't be the last time he does it either.

This is perfectly normal, we get this question time and again. Your oscar is just nervous. Your fish will get used to its new home in a few days

aaawww! sorry guys ! he died !! but not surprised--got em from walmart ! I often try to save the fish from them but more times then not I lose them ! At least I try ! Poor guy !! maybe i shudve gone a few days earlier !!

i hope you kept your reciept. walmart has a 90 day gurantee on all life pets. bring him back with the reciept and you will get a full refund or another fish.
