Just wondering if anybody here breeds crickets. Its something Im looking into because my hubby has a baby bearded dragon and we also have oscars, african cichlids. So the expence of always buying crickets is kinda silly if we can just breed them.

Never done it myself, I wouldn't have a clue how to. However, this rather gorgeous young lady in this video might be able to help you.

my buddy a half mile from my house runs a bait shop and has tried crickets without much success... however... if you can find some meal worms. just put them in a plastic tote with a few inches of rolled oats in the bottom and a wet sponge. they will turn into meal beetles and then reproduce rampantly. and they make great fish bait, and if your daring, you can dip them in chocolate for a creepy treat for your friends or stir fry them!

because its "rolled" between rollers to flatten it and get the husk off it. theres also steel cut which is basically chopped up instead.

i am all about that orange stuff its the bomb but i have to say i wonder if i can do that here im my apt i doubt it since my gf is so pissed off right now cause i have three wandering the apt and my cat just looks at them like what you want me to do about it lol. but i might have a way just need an excuse cause i have been working on her for another fish tank and a bigger tank for trinity lol
