Hello,
I'm doing some medication in my tank (I took out the Coal from the Filter)( I don't have a quarentine tank ) the medication is for Ich that one of my oscars started ( he just two small white dot on is lateral fin) I realize that he had it yesterday night before closing the light, I think it's because the water i used for the weekly water change i did yesterday was too cold...
might it be that? ( 50% water change )

now as writen on the bottle of ich-X i did a 1/3 water change then put 5ml per 10gallon ( 40ml total for my 80gal ) now my water is all blue..
I added a shot of NUTRAFIN Tropical Extracts ( that i just bought i didnt had it for the begining of the tank ) to help my fishes. So that made the water all brownish. so now both Ich-X + NUTRAFIN tropical Extracts made my water completly green.
So the questions:
Am I right the water was maybe too cold ?
Is it normal and safety for the fish that the water is blue\green\brownish ?
And I don't have a big enough tank to put my fire eel that isn't sick at all out... is it safe for her to be with all the medication?

so far the oscar seem shy but come out quickly to ask for food and the fire eel didnt show up yet...

Oh and another question: About food..
I'm doing a 3time day feeding
First, When i open the light, I give a glass of water that i mix 50% shrimp pellets 25% cichlid pellets with 15% freeze dried bloodworms and 10% freeze dried shrimp

Second, around 12 to 2 PM, i give half cube of frozen blood worms with half cube of frozen shrimp.

Then last at night about 1 h before closing the lights

Then always eat what i give them in about 1min,
Questions is: is it a good diet for them? ( they are baby ) or how should i fix it if it's not OK ?

Some medications and treatments will discolor your water for a while so don't worry about that, as long as you are following the instructions then you shouldn't have any cause for concern.

As far as the diet for your baby goes, sounds like you're giving him a good healthy diet

ick meds may stain the silicone in your tank. one of my tanks the stuff is a wierd blue/green color now lol.

sounds like the diet is nice and well varied, im sure its just what your fish need.

Dont worry about the colour change of the water when adding meds. But be aware that the silcone holding the tank together can get stained. Ich meds will stain them a light blue

Nice varied diet but remember to reduce feeding to once a day when they get bigger. Check the fedding section of this site if you want to find more things to feed oscars
