Recently my 3 O's have been opening their mouths wide and kind of attacking each other. What is this? What does it mean?

its the oscars way of politely saying "get out of my way, this is my territory, and if you dont like that, i kill you"

or some thing like "hey you, i am full grown now" will you be my
partner... and push the other o around.... if the other one accepted
the proposal, then you have a pair...but if they don't, they will
keep on bullying until one of them become submissive...
or fight back till death...

Because there are three in the tank, I am probably going to have to see if 2 pair off and then sell the 3rd wheel.

oh i see...that is why we usually discourage three oscar in a tank.
but there are times they can along well and you could not tell
which among them is she or he... but of the time, 3 means trouble

When I bought the tank, the three were already living together so until they decide to beat on one guy, they can stay together.
