ok so i have a female dempsy. shes about 4 inches. i bought a male dempsy who was starving at the pet store. i currently have the male in a 10 gallon he's about 4 inches but looks small in front of her. i guess its because shes healthy. do you guys have any suggestions on how i can intoduce them? and also how can i get my male to swim around the tank? all he does is just sit in one spot. only at feeding time he moves

put him in there with her... only way they will get to know each other

and you just got it right? of course hes acting sad, hes in a new place, give him time to get used to it. or actually, go ahead and put it in there with your other fish if your sure he doesnt have any diseases or parasites. i always quarantine my new fishies for a week or so atleast before i put in my main tank.

He will soon get used to his new home. Once you know he isnt ill put him in the tank and see what happens
