lol, I typed out a big response to this but I guess my session timed out and it got wiped.

Anyways, what you are doing sounds good. Just remember to take out any carbon inserts before starting the medications as they will remove the meds from the water. Also you have to leave the medication in for 48hrs at that temperature to make sure all the cysts(eggs) have hatched and the meds can kill the larva (the eggs are suppose to be really resistant to the meds). Do a big (at least 25 percent) water change and add carbon to filtration to get rid of meds.

Yes, yes yes. Realize that the ich can only be killed by the meds if it has fallen of the oscar, too. Here's a great article on treating ich: www.oscarfishlover.com/content/view/37/96/

2 ways to get rid of white spot

1- turn temperature up to 30 c. Heat gets rid of white spot. discus keepers keep their tanks at around 30 c and never get white spot (not that i have heard)

2-Medicate, I have used Medizin to get rid of it and it works, only negative is that is dyes the silicone holding your tank together a light blue and also dyes other clear plastic(like suckers) light blue. I have also noticed that the suckers get hard and fail to stick but this might just be the age of them. As said remove any carbon from filter if using medications

Are the Oscars having any trouble with breathing due to the high temp? If so, try to provide them with some extra oxygen by adding an airstone or increased current if you haven't done that already, they should be fine then. If possible the temp should be kept in the high range for about 5 more days to be safe.
The thing about ich is that you have to catch the parasite in the free swimming stage, the disappearing of spots doesn't mean there are no parasites present in the tank anymore, and you don't want to have it again.
But it's a good sign already that the spots are gone, sure looks like you worked that out well
Maybe after finished treatment you could add carbon to your filter for a day or so to remove the med.
If I were a guy, I\'d have probably needed only 30% of the amount of words to say this
