hi! My two tiger O's as grown quite alot, Only have them for 2 weeks now and both went form 2 inch babys, to 3-4 inch in only two weeks... but my point is, i just caught them fighting, mouth locking, the bigger of the two have a big mouth marking on the side. Just wondering if it's normal.. they are not really big yet can't really think that they are sexualy matured yet... I know they are hungry I'm about to feed them in 15 minutes, but It's the first time they fight each other... does it mean they are two male? normaly they swim together all the time, now the big one try to swim with smaller one and smaller one try to get away or attack the big one...

just wondering if it's normal, if i should split them up ? ( that mean finding a new home for one of the two )
Water Parametter are perfect, I do 30-50% water change weekly, and i just started ( 3 days ago ) to feed them with hikari gold pellet and they're colors got so beautifull in only 3 day...

anyway tell me if you suggest me to split them up or wait to see if they stop...

way too early to tell.. they wont be sexually mature till about a year and a half old and they will be around a foot long. give it some time, once they sort out their hierarchy they should settle down.

How big is your tank?
That will decide in the end even if a couple is established, if you couldt keep them both!
Couldn't really judge from the pics...
Oscar don't need to be full-grown to be a major pain, though.
Things may get rough but as long as there's no permanent damage, you'll be okay!

Oh yeah tank is to small for two fully grownt oscar but i tought i should be ok for to small, its 75Gal. After eating they settle down but they are not together at the moment, first time in two week i see them splitted. I don't see any permanent damage just small marking on the side of the big one, small one only have little mark under is mouth ( mouth locking thing probably )

I know XD I am too -_- went from 1 10gal community tank, got my 33 gal to upgrade it, then my 80gal for oscar, and now a new 31gal for salt water reef tank T_T.

I will see if in time i can upgrade to 130 as i planned at first otherwise I will see how they goes together, right now small one is hiding and big one swiming happily even if he was the one that seems to get the beat down. and fire eel is swimming even more then ever she seem damn happy right now
I love the eel she a beauty, she know how to defend herself face to oscars ( and how to disapear quicly ) and she's very friendly!

I even tought about If later i could find a good home for the two O's to go only with like 2-3 fire eel in the tank, even if they go over the 30" size, they are not a pain to take care of and don't produce as much shit as O's do, but right now i love my O's as much as the eel

So i will see if they go well together I hope to see love and peace between the two Oscar no more fighting
