I found these oscars for sale and think they're the prettiest thing. Problem is I can't find any more information on what specific species has those colors and markings. Anyone know if there's a more specific name they go by or any links to websites with information? I can't find any.

Hi and Welcome! Those are wild Oscars, and they only look like that as juveniles! As adults they look different!

since oscars are an invasive species in florida the term wild caught really shouldnt be used for them. the main reason they are in the florida waterways is because they are released aquarium fish so technically they are not wild.

maybe they should be refered to as feral oscars???
