Blooper has grown up pretty well, it's now about 5 inches, maybe more and it has been healthy and living well, except for one thing I noticed the other day..
When you look at an oscars eye, you know how they protrude slightly from its head? The things holding its eyes.. Well I noticed that around where the eye base and the body meet, it looks as though the fishes gills are going through it with every breath. It doesn't look like pop eye though.. It's strange, I don't know how to describe it except as such. Whenever the fish gets excited and starts swimming fast, you can easily notice gills from behind the eye base, sorta popping out. I've never read anything about that and don't know how to fix it.
All the water tests have been good, every time I take them.. maybe they aren't working good and I need better testing kits. How do I get my fish to stop puffing its gills from behind its eyes!
Hope someone knows what I'm talking about, so I made this crudely crafted image from the website header to better show it.
