so i put some plants in my tank yesterday and my fish was nibbling on them. When i came back later he had eaten a small leaf off of each. Today I got back after being gone all morning and he was kind of floating with one side higher than the other. I also noticed that his poop in the tank was all green (normally its white or gray). Could this have come from eating the plants and him having a stomach ache or is there a more serious problem I have going on here?

You're not giving us much to go on. I don't think there is a problem with the feces, I would actually be more worried if it was whites all the time. You need to test the water for us, ammonia, nitrites, nitrites and pH. Once we know the water conditions, we may be able to get a better idea of what may be going on.

I don't think eating the plants will be a problem. i would be more concerned that something came with them. did you quarantine them and treat? As OFL has asked I won't repeat.)

Oscars dont usually eat plants but i wouldnt put it past one. Are you sure he hasnt been pulling at the plants to move them and it just looks like they have been nibbled

We do need those test results and we need the actual results not that the LFS has said the water is fine

in addition to this, it will help us too if you can give us the following info:
1) how long have your set up running;
2) how big is the tank and filter capacity and system;
3) how long have you had your oscar; and
4) how do you feed your o and what food/s.
