oven baked with garlic butter would probably be quite nice

However, you only have yourself to blame for putting such a small fish in with the Oscar, my Oscar also ate one of these fish, and it was bigger than yours

i would prefer it fried oscar fillet with oyster sauce....

i agree with Penn....no to be blame except yourself. i had tried a 3 inches pang
inside the tank of the giants..... thinking that pang is always on the move and swim
very fast...but oscar is so clever and in split second, my pang was gone showing
only the tail protruding the mouth.....

i know but it just baffles me the way she ate the bristlenose wich was the same length (but not as tall) as the firemouths and bubbles could easily eat anyone of the firemouths yet he leaves them alone i thought just maybe he would let the bristlenose slide but appearantly it didn't look for a place to hide or somethin. oh well leason learned lol

I have seen this before. An oscar lives with a smaller fish and doesnt bother it. So the owner goes and buys another fish the same size and before he knows it the new fish is eaten. Some oscars seem to think that because they couldnt eat a fish when both were smaller they cant eat it now. But a new fish the same size is eaten straight away
I can't get no sleep

hey i hear that my stripped lepodonis was much smaller than my o's when he was sent to death row and has survived much longer than my other trys at tank mates but on the other hand i have never seen a pleco get eaten before cause i stick with a common i actually had to trade my orgional for the apt managers huge one cause her 55 could not handle it but now its happy living with me but one thing is for common cleaning issues with algue and what not i leave to guys that are bigger or bigger than my o's its the safest bet of all time with oscars.
I have lost my mind be back when I find it, maybe.
