Got these guys last week. 3 Red Oscars & 2 Tiger Oscar. Currently in a 120L tank for about 3 - 4 day & then will be moved to my 4ft & then maybe a 6ft if I am able to get a pair from these guys.

nice little creatures ... i 'll bet, you will have more time and effort taking the
shots with the fishes than anything else. it happens to me and some other hobbyist
here. you just choose the best shot out of thousand shots...

ok these guys are refusing pellets, they just nibble on them & then spit it out. I've been feeding them frozen bloodworm so i can understand why the pellets are not interesting anymore.

I've also now moved them into a 75g tank so they are having a ball at the moment. will post more pics tomorrow.

your just gona have to put your foot down and give em the tough love approach, just feed them the pellets until they eat them, no fish will starve itself, especially baby O's lol

well I'm no expert but I'm guessing the colors of the oscars would depend on the parents. So if 2 tiger oscars bred I'm assuming the colors would be more vibrant & strong compared to the a tiger breeding with a red oscar, but this is just a guess. I'm sure the experts here would have a better answer.

P.S. just a update on the juvies, the red oscar from the above pics has become the boss of the tank. he/she has grown the most & bullying a couple of the other oscars. will post a pic shortly.
