i was wondering if it is possible to tell the sex of my little ones? mostly because they are the same size but one has a noticably bigger head. the other one's head is all skinny and he really looks young where as the other looks like he is going through puberty. lol could that be a way to tell the difference in their sex or is it just one growing faster?

yeah i read that but i was trying to see if anyone knew if there was anyother way. because obviously most people buy their fish when they are juviniles and watch them grow and i was hoping that someone had any insight that they could share about their fish and if they noticed anything other than the reading. but thanks anyway

I have been keeping Oscars for a number of years now and I have never been able to tell the difference between a male and a female, whether they are juveniles, or adults just by looking at them. If you are experienced and know what you are doing, you could probably tell the difference by examining their sexual organs very closely Even this is not easy unless you know exactly what you are looking for.

Two males may be problematic. On occasions they can take a dislike to each other and fight, doesn't always happen, but something to watch out for. If this is the case, maybe you could call one Tyson, and the other one Bruno

well they seem to be getting along fine, they follow eachother around all day and if im in front of the tank and one is there and the other not...the other will come zipping right over to see what is going on lol
