I bought a new thermometer and I realized my old one was off by a couple degrees it said 28 c and its really 33-34 c so I turned my heater down. My water has been cloudy for a few days despite my daily 50% water changes. What role does temp. play in water conditions other then just the amount of oxygen in the water?

I don't think the heater has much to do with the cloudy water, unless it's giving something off...what brand of heater is it, and is it a hang on heater or a submersible heater? The hotter the water the less oxygen in it, but you already know that.

Its a hang on I have to check on that brand. This cloudy water is really disturbing I have more then enough filtration nitrite and amonia 0 and nitrate 15-20 steady readings I have been doing daily water changes I havent fed in 24 hours used water clearify solution and the water still has a fog-like haze it is driving me insane.

Sometimes you can get some free swimming bacteria that are too small for the filter to catch. The net result is cloudy water. I have this once from overfeeding. I was advised by a friend to add interpet filter aid. Apparently it clumps them together so the filter can deal with them. After 1 day my water was crystal clear

I dont know if it will work for you seeing as you have been doing 50% water changes but it cant hurt

One other thing, have you added any bogwood recently as this will give the water a yellow tinge and it could be described as hazy. This tinge will last for quite a while
I can't get no sleep
