about how old is a baby O at about 2 inches? Not that it matters at all, but I was just curious.... are they 2 months? 4 months? older/younger? I seriously have no idea. I'm shocked at how fast mine have grown already and am excited and hopeful to watch them continue to grow. I've always aged my fish based on how long I've had them - never stopped to ponder how old they are when I got them until now.

normally, o grows at the rate of 1 inch per month during juvenile provided they have
adequate space, good water condition and good feeding regiment.... they grew at that
rate until they reach 10 inches mark or maturity.... then slow down but become
thicker body mass. a two year old oscar could reach 12 to 14 inches long as compared
to an 8 inches o at 8 months.....

So, that should be 2 months from fry when 2" long?

this means that what you are doing now is right. however, when it reaches the
10 inches mark, you will be surprised it doesn't grows that much.... but mind
you, the body will become deliciously thicker....
