HELLO everyone!
Been a while since i took picture so I just took some before a BIG water change, the tank as missed one water change last week so its really dirty right now. Don't worry right after the picture was taken I did a big water change to clean the hole thing right away ^^
Don't know if any remember them:
www.oscarfishlover.com/oscar-fish-advice...s-the-new-boys#54105
Them small:

and now:
If i look at the post date ( I posted the pics the same day i had the fish) It's only been 2 months 1 week from now, they were 1.5 inches and 2 inches. Now in a mather of 2 month they grow to 5.5-6 inches!!
Those monster eat like pigs.
And as I asked before having them in the tank with a small Fire Eel, I was wondering if they would eat her, or beat her, But so far they get along pretty well! the 3 eat together and sometimes even swim together! But anyway those oscars are way to slow for the fast eel

So here they are :
(about 3.5 month old tiger oscars)

and the black one will turn completly yellow, They are just to exited because they think foods coming!!!

Thanks Hun, I can see from one of the pics you posted... I would just keep an eye on him, and keep your water in shape. He will be fine either way!

congratulation! nice fishes huh!

yeah, i am with nicki on this.... though you have said it already, the dull
color of an oscar is always reflective of the water condition... nevertheless,
you did great job raising them.... they are still healthy. after water change,
you will find their bright color amazingly.

thanks for sharing...

Thanks both of you ^^
Yeah! I will and always do watch them closely for disease.
They always turn amasing the day following a water change! As i say the black one turn completly yellow stiped and orange compltely colorful orange/redish

On question is yellow a normal basis color for oscar? I know orange and red are common but yellow? I know the color when oscar are mad ( pale yellow to white) but really vibrant yellow ?
as this beautiful one:

Might be ink injection?
or just some not-so-common orange discolor to yellow ?

no, they are normal... i once have a tiger with yellow markings
instead of red or orange....

unless you are referring to a yellow main body color with markings?
the same way i had a white body color that looks like soaked in a
pail of white paints.... that is also normal...you have a red oscar strain
wherein red is not dominant in pigmentation.

I believe that color is mostly a reflection. VERY nice looking Oscar, and I was pleased to see a worm and not a rat or feeders. They are okay in my book!
