i think oscars are the best fish out there anyone else think the same

My O is the only fish that will allways come to the front of the tank, where I am, and seems to love the interaction. He will stay where I am and act silly for as long as i sit in front of the tank. i got loads of fish resonding to feedingtime, but my O responds to me, food or no food.

Only other fish i have that resembles that behaviour is my Puffer fish.
I only got one Oscar.
Painfull question for Marcus, for his last O just died last week from a broken jaw.

I think that most of us would agree that the Oscars are definitely at the top of our list, or very near the top of favorite fish. On the other hand, if anything is going to go wrong with a fish in a tank, it is normally an Oscar, so they also give you the most trouble as well.

I am only a member on 2 sites, OFL.com and a motorcycle site as I love fast bikes too. Will I change???? NO. certainly not. I have looked on some of the other sites but to be honest arowana and oscars get pretty much the same advice. as far as food, water etc. they need a little more room as they are bigger and if you want more than one its better to have 6 or more to provent fighting. I think this is the same for oscars too. 3-4 don't seem to work well. arowana are better kept in ponds as I always thought as this pro vents drop eye,(surface feeder) oscars do very well in tanks as it will feed on the bottom or top. oscar will scavenge or hunt making it a very flexible fish. oscars are strong fish but as OFL said they get a poor deal cos the look great in the shop, are cheap when small to buy, grow fast but need a fair amount of care. if I owned a shop I would ask where my stock was going and how it was looked after and advise before selling. it should become a pet sellers job to inform the buyer before sale as law IMO.

Oscars are my favourite fish followed by clown loaches and then silver dollars. My favourite salt water fish (i dont have a salt water tank) is the picasso trigger fish, i think they are stunning
