Good news...
My big boy Huey must have reading over my shoulder about the possiblity of getting "put to sleep"..it seems he has decided to try eating something after all.
I went out today and bought him some nice big fat juicy earthworms ( not an easy thing to do in Anchorage, Alaska in the middle of winter!)
He sucked down two!
This show of improvement has not only given me hope... but has given Huey a stay of euthanasia!
There are no vets in my neck of the woods who know anything about fish unless it is how to fillet one. I am hoping that Huey returns to his normal gluttinous self.

I really hated tha idea of putting him down when he was otherwise acting normally. Now only time will tell... keep your fins crossed.

That is fantastic, I am really pleased for you. Remember that fully grown adult Oscars don't need to eat that much. In fact, you don't even have to feed them every day so I don't think for one minute they are ill because they don't eat every day
I may not always be right, but I am always the boss
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved
