Well today I introduced little tiny feeders to my Oscars... they are no longer virgins and have had a taste of real food (and a taste of the hunt!). It was the funniest, most entertaiing thing I have ever watched. Piglet and Red knew exactly what to do when I put those 6 little fish in their tank. Piglet, properly named because he is a HUGE pig, was the first to catch one, then two, then three. All at once !!! One was totally in his mouth while the other two only had a sliver of their bodies in his mouth. He held onto those two fish for half an hour, hiding from Red who was chomping away on his three !! Red has manners though and didn't shove them all in at once!

Laughed so hard at one point I thought I was going to pee my pants!!!

Needless to say, I wish I had been recording it!!

i know what you mean.... i used to feed my fishes with feeders too..and then
i stop for while. unfortunately, my wife dump her aro in my tank and she keep
buying those feeders for the aro. to my amazement, our five years old and 19
months old granddaughters love to watch those fishes chasing the small feeders.

for the past three weeks, my tank always have feeders for that reason: the kids
love to watch.

I don't feed live fish anymore, but when i got my Gar i wanted him to feel at home.
I bought 10 Euros of swordtails, and put them in the tank.
My Oscar came up and ate them all but one.
The last one survived for a few days, until my o was fed up with him, gulped him up, and spit him out, knocked out!
My Gar came and ate the kocked out fish.It looked like the O was helping out in making my Gar feel at home!lol
