hey guys,

just thought i'd introduce you to my little monsters.

i bought these little guys at the LFS a few weeks ago and they are already growing real fast.

they were both labelled as Red tiger O's and they have the O on their tail, but Blaze seems to have longer pectoral fins than sabre does could blaze be a veil tail?

these two seem to be a possible mating pair they will not leave each others side and they are quite small (2-3 inches, sabre pushing almost 4 inches now.) with plenty of free space in their 75gal, but they still dont leave one another.

Nice oscars! I don't think Blaze is a veiltail because they generally just have long tails more so than pectoral fins. If she was, she could get her fins badly damaged from fighting because their so long and dangly. 75 gallons is a tad bit small for two oscars too, espicially a potential mating pair.

i am upgrading once they are around 6-7 inches. i am getting a 125 gal.

atm they should be fine in the 75 gal as they are still less than 4 inches each.

Cool. I meant 75 gallons could be too small for fully grown oscars, sorry if you mistunderstood me(i can be confusing:laugh: ) They should love the 125 gal.

hehe, nah its cool.

just thought i'd state to you and others reading that i wont be cramming in the "soon to be monsters" in a 55 gal for life lol.

got big plans for a big tank, and have the funds

waiting for them to grow a little first, also i will be moving house in less than 12 months so i'll wait till i am in my new home for the 125 gal.

Very understandable to want to wait with the big tank under the given circumstances, moving with tanks is so not fun!
