So, today, I did a water change, because the last couple of days (Christmas and all) I did indulge them a little. The ammonia meter hanging off the tank said it was in between 0 and 0.04, nitrites were also detectable today, so, I decided to do a 50% water change to get it back to being under control.

Upon doing that my ammonia level is now at > 0.06. It is definitely green now. The nitrites didn't move an inch, still between 1.0 and 3.0, so about 2.0 according to the test strip. nitrates are 0. I don't want to stress them further with another water change, so... do I just not feed them for a day or two?

Cheers,

Joshua

I am using a Product called Purigen.
It eliminated all ammonia etc.
