I have had my Oscar for about 10 months in a 47 gallon tank with a blue lobster and a med/large pleco, less then a week ago my Oscar started to get ich, so I went and got the medication and started applying it almost immediatly.. 3 days later the spots have been gone. For the past 2 days my Oscar just sits neer the top of the water and he does not move, he does not eat. My Oscar seems sad and maybe unhealthy, and I would like to find some advice on what might be wrong and how I can help him.
Can anyone help me, and my beautiful tank friend?

Welcome to the site. In order for us to help you we need to ask you quite a few questions. What I will say first is your tank is too small for the two fish you've got. Exactly how big are they? Have you carried out a water test? You need to be testing for ammonia, nitrite, nitrates and ph. How often do you carry out water changes? What is the temperature of the water? What have you been feeding your fish?

Okay, is the fish breathing heavily at all? Is there any noticeable swelling in the abdomen?

So you are saying the ick has completely cleared up? Have you got any carbon in your filtration?

If you can answer these questions as best you can, we can try and help you. Unfortunately, fish are very complex when it comes to health problems. It can be extremely difficult to cure fish when they become ill.

well, I have been taking water samples to my local pet center regularly, always good, sometimes ammonia is alittle high, but quickly fixed. I am buying a larger tank shortly, my tank is not "too" small for the size of them now but growing there... So I am working on that. The ich is still there, but neerly completly gone, the temp is higher right now for the medication, 87. I have been feeding him medium pellets, and feeder fish. He is breathing normally, no noticable swelling..
I took the filter out of the filter for the ich medication.

On the other hand he is now moving around alot more again, but still allowing a feeder fish to be swimming around. and not eating. Any ideas?
