Hello allllll, been a lurker of this forums since god knows when and decided to bite the bullet and come out. Bought me a 55gallon aquarium after extensive reading here and is housing ONE Oscar.

The 55 aquarium came with a tetra30-60 so after some reading I ordered 2 HOB AQUACLEAR 110. I already have 1 of the 2 aquaclears alongside of the tetra 30-60 and here goes my question of the day

How long do you think it will take for the aquaclear 110 HOB to get beneficial bacteria to support the tank??. I havent installed the second one because most if not all is in the tetra30-60...

I know the second filter will grow BB with the help of the first filter, but i couldn't tell you how long it will take to cycle.
but i'm sure someone else will know.

Haha thanks for the warm welcomeeee, the site not only gets addicting... but I have this 55 gallon and already want to upgrade to a 300 gallon one jesus christ... it takes you over!.

and there's nothing else to do, you just gotto give in ...and get that tank!

welcome to ofl! i would say you can safely remove the first one after about a month. then switch the 2nd one. that should be enough time.
