bud loves mealworms got them today and gave him a few and he could eat them all day if he wanted lol no i can give him more different food will try some crickets next

bet he'll like the crickets too.
just make sure they get in your o's belly, for crickets are real escape artists.
And they're noisy...

shaking the box will shut them up for some time, otherwise i wouldn't know.

No, they need varied foods, but not esp. crickets.
When you get them into the tank, they'll float on the water and your O will chase them around.
But feeding pellets and worms is just fine.
I only give crickets as a treat.
Sometimes some of my friends even bring my fish a box of crickets, bugs or worms.
My fish get spoiled.lol

he's spoiled too.
but that will keep him healthy and growing fast!

IMO very long.
I forgot some for a long time and they actually survived for some months.
The worms life cycle will go into a kind of stasis,when kept at fridge temp.
My lfs recommends against keeping them in the fridge, and i know why.lol
