My Oscar is showing some very strange behaviors. Today when I got home from work, I notice my Oscar he was at the bottom of the tank hovering over what appears to be small white looking eggs. The only other fish I have in the tank is my Jack Dempsey. Any time the jack come close to the area the Oscar will attack. I even put my hand in the tank and my Oscar tried to attack my hand, so it showing some very aggressive behaviors. I have been having my tank and the same 2 fish (Oscar and Jack Dempsey) in there for 5 plus year. What can these small what looking things can be?

If it are eggs it def proves your O is a female!
I heard they can lay eggs even in solitude.
The behaviour is usually seen with spawning O's.
better watch your fingers.

It does sound like eggs. A picture would help loads. In the meantime can you test your water and post the actual results for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate just in case it isnt eggs
