Hi. Does anyone know what could be the problem looking at their poop? I have 8 Oscars and all but one red tiger seems to have a problem. He has not been feeding but seems to be fairly active. I fed them frozen prawns on saturday and sunday. Only this guy(ogami) seems to be having a lil strand of white poop stuck to his under belly? Could he be constipated? I cleaned the tank completely and the water is super clean and temp is at 24 degrees. Please let me know. Cheers.

if it is a constipation, there should be no poo or string whatsoever at all.
most of the time, stringy poo is a sign of parasite infection...so better watch
out. please take note that parasite can infect selective victim, not all stock
in the tank. if the said o will keep having that stringy poo, isolation treatment
against parasite is a necessity.

frozen prawns? did you fully thaw them out first before you gave them to it? if not that could be your problem. ive read in several places its not good to give them frozen stuff, like not fully thawed i mean, like it gives them bad internal problems with their digestive track and the stuff doesnt digest properly and rots instead. same is true with snakes.

if it is infected with parasite, time will come it become timid or
less active.... and will grow slower as compared with the rest.... same is true
with constipation...but constipation will not have those stringy tiny poo.
just keep an eye for the mean time and do medication if it will not improve or
poo at all. you can try throwing in some green peas...good for constipated
fishes....

not to sure about the next step tho

come to think of it, my previous analysis prove to be correct...perhaps, it has been
infected all along but didn't notice it.... parasite infection....
