As the titles says..... I'm not an idiot and I know how piranhas can be, but from info that my LFS is telling me, one or two small piranhas with a few oscars should be alright. Well it's not, the piranhas get chased around the tank by my daring tiny african chiclids, but my oscars leave them be and visaversa. Yesterday I noticed my skinny oscar was beatin up a bit, so I figured it was one of the piranhas, because the chunks taken out of it's fins were exactly the same size as the piranhas mouth. I hate to keep buying fish, then giving them away, like my exodons. They were awesome fish, but it could only live with other exodons. That's shitty to me. I want a cool tank with some cool fish. SOOOOOOOOO the piranhas are being rehomed to a buddys tank, who likes piranhas. As for my oscar and green terror, who was also terroized, I set up my "nursery" tank for the time being, so they can relax and heal. The green terror is doing much better, she's actually being very active and my oscar is being mellow, but I cant blame it. Here are some pics of what happend.

Blimey, that Oscar looks a little bit anemic, or is it just your camera? I have no experience keeping Pirahna, however, if I was going to I think I would keep them on their own.

Yeah it's a skinny oscar, he dosent eat as much as his other friends. The other oscars are pigs, but mind you my other oscar is the same color. When I went to the fish store, they had the white tiger oscars, the normal black ones, and these guys, they were darker than the white ones, but lighter than the black ones, they were unique, and i've never seen anything like it. So I got them. Now maybe it was a mistake and they were sick? Who knows, but the other one looks just like the beat up one and he runs my tank. Anyway I hope my oscar will recover, it should at least, i'm keeping a close eye on it.

The poor baby! He looks terrible! He is a weird color, at first I thought he was super stressed because he looks so washed out. But if the other guy looks the same then meh - maybe they're just a strange color variation.

As for Piranha, those little bastages will attack and eat whatever they want. We had several when I was growing up, and they would eat their own. We had 7, then 5, then 2. They would fight and get injured during the day, then when you woke up the next day all that was left was a few tidbits here and there and maybe a head. They were my Dad's favorite pets. LOL
If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?
