Mine are very still... They are stationary and they look like they are resting.

X2 don't wake. they look dead. sometimes rest on side or objects. will dash off if you touch them and can become hurt if they hit something.

mine sleep side by side - resting on the bottom and kinda leaned over - probably a 30 degree angle. I wish I could get a photo because I think it's sweet - but like mentioned before it's not good to startle them

I noticed that my o may keep his head upward when he sleeps but keeps a perfect balance.
I observed goldfish and koi, and they seem to loose their equilibrium at night.
They will tilt sideways somewhat at night and will swim upright again at the moment the tanklights turn on.
If you got koi or goldfish, check it out, it's pretty common and strange at the same time...

mine sleep on their side flat at the top of the tank slowly pushed around by the internal filter.
almost every night they wake up when the missus gets home they kick up with thier tails and spash water all over the top of tank.lol
but still seem to remain asleep.lol
its sorta scary cuz they look dead floating on side at top of water.
but they do this during the day sumtimes when they are tryn to catch the convicts in the tank...playn dead so they come closer.heehee

Paul - that is a great video! and it looks like yours have done the same thing mine have - cleared all the gravel in their sleeping spot to expose the tank bottom
