when i got my O he had a small hole in his pectoral fin. it healed up just fine.
just make sure your water parameters are in check and it will close eventually.

when i got PinHole, it had pin hole in the tail (so is the name)..after
9 months and almost 10 inches long, the hole is still visible...
this is how he look like now:
