we all know oscars need large tank, but what do you think the minimum size should be for a hospital tank, bearing in mind the oscar wouldn`t be in it long?
thanks;)

This is something I have been meaning to put on this website, I will get onto it. I suppose it depends on how big the Oscar is. If you are talking about a fully grown 12 inch Oscar then I think you could probably get away with a 30 gallon tank if you are doing a medication for four or five days. Oscars around seven or 8 inches, I would be quite happy to put in a 20 gallon tank. In fact I do have a 20 gallon (80 L) tank that is cycled just in case.. just feed the Oscar extremely sparingly in that time. I would say every two days, this would cut down on the amount of waste.
