This is not uncommon, Oscars often go food for my apparent reason. You could try the starvation technique, this often gets them back into eating certain foods. However, since fish is so small I would like it to go without food for too long so maybe don't leave it for one day and then see if it will accept pellet. You could try a different shape and variety of pellet, you may find it will eat them. However, sometimes fish just will not eat a certain type of food no matter how hard you try to get them to give in.

At that size you could let them go hungry

I see, 12 inches, that's a whole different ballgame then. I've got one Oscar that under any circumstances will not touch Tetra Dorimin, all of my other fish cannot get enough of these pellets, but this little bugger just turns its nose up at them. He went nearly 2 weeks once without eating because I tried starving him by just feeding the other fish on these pellets. As soon as I put another type of food in he was on them like a shot, so I knew there was nothing wrong with him.

Stop feeling for about three days, if he won't eat them after then, try something else and forget those pellets with him because he will probably never eat them.

Try starving them for a week, then feed them what they will eat and then starve for a week. If he dont eat pellets after that then just accept he wont eat pellets and you will have to find other foods to feed them. It is expensive to feed bloodworms to oscar. Check out the feeding section on what foods you can give to oscars, examples are prawns, maggots, garden worms, mealworms, insects, muscles

I unfortunatly have one of the Oscars that won't touch a pellet.
I actually think he would starve to death before he would eat one.
The way I got around this was to gutload Crickets with ground up Hikari Gold,
mixed with cricket food.He just ate 7 Crickets.

Mine ete ciclid stick as a baby but never ate any pellets anymore.
Just worms and bugs for over a year now.
Now 2 days ago he ate some Hikari algae wafers, that were intended for my pleco.
Yesterday i throw in some hikari gold pellets and he dashes at the and eats them with much taste.
Today i tried again and he ate a whole bunch.
No forcing him, he just started to eat them.
Oscars are strange fish...with even stranger eating habits.
First fish i ever had that asks for a change in his diet.lol
