TOPIC: Leo's night.

Leo's night. 2 years, 4 months ago #72842

Well Leo's(My Oscar) night was pretty hectic, around midnight I heard a loud smash, I thought it must be the 2 cats but they were snuggled up right next to me, becoming alarmed at the thought of an intruder, I bolted down the stairs in my combat ready position only to realize it was Leo wreaking havoc on his aquarium, he knocked the air stone and heater right out of the tank. During the ordeal he seemed to have injured him self, a few missing scales. I am not very worried about his injuries, the aquarium water is in pristine condition and I am sure he'll heal up nicely and he is very active today. Thought I would share, anyone else have any interesting stories similar to this they would like to share?

My ex-girlfriend stays over every other weekend and sleeps in the room that my tank is located. I was replying to someone on a thread the other day telling them that Oscar's sleep like babies and she laughed and told me that the amount of times she has been woken up in the middle of the night by crashing & banging inside the tank, thought that was quite funny.

i used to get footage with sleeping oscar at night time only to find out
they do sleep on day time too.....if that is the case, splashing and hunting
would also be normal in night time....i think..

I can't say I never noticed my Oscars sleeping during the day, if it is daylight they will be awake, after all they are diurnal fish, active by day.

I must own the most docile Oscar on the planet. I've never seen Sherman get squirrely, and I'm up at all sorts of hours due to my job. He mostly swims around the tank looking for food, picks on Sheridan the Dempsey (who I'm beginning to think will stay at 3" the rest of his life) until he runs back to hide in the treasure chest; and looks at me while I'm in the computer chair doing his FEED-ME-WOMAN!-dance. Which he happens to be doing right now actually. It's 7am and the only light on is the computer monitor, but he knows I'm sitting here. LOL
If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?

How recognizable.
Only splashing at night in my tank was when my Vieja spooked my sleeping O.
I had a bad night and couldn't sleep.
I was watching them, and my O bashed against the lid so badly, that he floated on his side, unconscious, for some time.
i was so pissed off with the Vieja.
