I've read a lot of posts about having two males in a tank. But what about if you have two females? I know there is no way to tell their sex; but if my two happen to be two females - do they typically get along? I was just curious.

They do get along, and they will go through the breeding rituals, and one or both can lay eggs... But the eggs will never be fertilized, and they will never hatch!

My O is so gentle, i often think it's a female...

in most cases, female re more of passive while male always shows dominance.
and dominance always end up territorial....

when OneEyeJack was still around, he keeps on bullying the other three. now
that he was gone, the three which i believe are all female have no issues on
aggression.

If you do end up with 2 females don't worry, enjoy them.

unless you only intend to breed.

I found out the hard way two males will fight to the bitter end.
I tried to introduce a new Oscar in my tank and had to take it back to the LFS.
I know my Oscar is male I got a good look at his vent. I'm just guessing the other was Male.

what did it look like??? still havent seen a mature male yet, mines a female lol.

of all the oscars i have my mature female is by far the most aggressive and nasty of the bunch. she is for lack of a better term a real bicth far meaner than the male.

as for fishie porn pic win it is still a little hard to tell but from the looks of it i would guess that to be a male appendage not female.
